Extremely fast 3D printing is possible with the Creality Ender-5 S1 with speeds up to 250mm/s thanks to the solid frame and sprite extruder. High temperature sprite extruder
The Ender-5 S1's new Sprite extruder system is a light-weight yet fast extruder that handles temperatures up to 300°C, so it can print a variety of materials including PETG and PLA extremely well. It is a direct-drive system that includes a dual-gear with 1:3.5 gear ratio for optimal grip and power that can also handle flexible filament like TPU very well. The sprite extruder has a Titanium Alloy Heatbreak for minimal heat creep, making retractions more reliable. It's Corrugated Heatsink has 2.5 times more surface area for optimal cooling, while the large melting zone combined with the large heater block make the filament melt faster thus increasing the filament flow enormously. The special "Urus" air ducts channel create a storm of cool air around the freshly deposited material for optimal cooling and fast hardening, resulting in better print quality and less layer time.
Build platform
Most 3D printers come with a build platform that moves in the Y-axis (front to back), but the Creality Ender-5 S1 comes with a build plate that moves in the Z-axis (up-down). This reduces the mass for the X/Y axis enormously allowing faster printing speeds, while the layer stacking of the printed model is more consistent and neat. For leveling the Ender-5 incorporates a myriad of functions to quickly and reliable start a 3D print. The CR-Touch auto bed leveling is the new solution for precisely measuring even the tinyest imperfections in the bed plate with up to 0.01mm precision for a perfect first layer, while remove the need for manually calibrating the bed. The improved bed mounts make adjusting the bed easy and eliminate issues during the print where the bed slowly get unleveled due to vibrations.
The bed plate can reach a temperature of 110°C and has a flexible PC plate for great adhesion and easy removal of 3D prints. Two notches make aligning the bed plate easy and repeatable.
Interfacing
The Ender-5 S1 3D printer comes with touch screen user-interface for optimal control over your machine. The 4.3" screen has a wide viewing angle and has a sensitive touch sensor for easy control. The 3D printer can of course print from SD card and has USB-C for 3D printing from a computer. Also the printer is capable for connecting to the Wifi box for connecting to the Creality cloud.
