Produce 17-4 stainless steel parts in a cost-effective manner with Ultrafuses’ 17-4 PH filament. This filament can be printed safely by all desktop FDM/FFF 3D printers. Create metal-polymer parts with outstanding mechanical properties!
With the D&S service by BASF, you can print green parts at home with your 3D printer and send the printed part for processing. You will receive a fully metal part with 17-4 stainless steel properties. The returned part will have extremely high mechanical strength and hardness with great corrosion resistance. To perform debinding and sintering yourself, you will need a sintering furnace, sintering refractory ballast, refractory container, sintering carbon, and sapphire 3D steel blend. It is recommended to process 17-4 PH stainless steel at a sintering temperature ranging between 900°C-1350°C. With 17-4 PH stainless steel parts, you can achieve advanced prototypes on an industrial level. It is important to consider acquiring an abrasion-resistant nozzle, for example, a ruby tip nozzle or a hardened steel nozzle. Ultrafuse’s 17-4 PH filament prints at an extruder temperature of 230°C-250°C. We recommend having a bed temperature between 100°C-120°C. For quality prints, be sure that your nozzle has been cleaned with cleaning filament between your prints.
